Office of Economic Innovation & Partnerships – University of Delaware
The Office was established in July of 2008. Its mission is to develop and deploy the University’s knowledge-based assets for the benefit of the University, the community, the state and the region
Today it has five functional responsibilities.
The creation of a culture that values and promotes innovation and entrepreneurship; the identification of potentially valuable inventions that derive from the discoveries coming from our research enterprise; the procurement and maintenance of intellectual property based on our invention disclosures; the extraction of value from our intellectual property and the creation of new businesses and the development of mutually beneficial partnerships – an effective route to develop and deploy our knowledge-based assets.
