The National Children’s Study will involve approximately 100,000 families to investigate the link between environments in which children are raised and health and development. By linking a range of environmental factors to multiple health and developmental outcome measures, the study will help to pinpoint the root causes of many of today’s major childhood diseases and disorders. New Castle County, under leadership of the University of Delaware, is one of 105 study locations across the country.
