First State Innovation

First State Innovation (FSI) is a nonprofit organization that focuses on increasing Delaware’s entrepreneurial capacity. FSI has accomplished this by helping technology-based and early stage businesses find angel and seed capital, business leaders, commercialization assistance, intellectual capital, and other entrepreneurial resources.

Delaware BioScience Association

The Delaware BioScience Association (Delaware Bio) is a non-profit, trade association whose mission is to become the catalyst to ensure Delaware becomes a global leader in life sciences by developing a cohesive community that unites the region’s biotechnology, pharmaceutical, research, financial and agricultural strengths.

Delaware Bio is one of over 40 state affiliates of the Council of State Bioscience Associations (CSBA), a division of the Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO). Delaware Bio delivers real value to its members by bringing many of the best practices from CSBA to the State of Delaware. Together with other members of CSBA, a strong voice is provided on the national level to influence legislation for the growth of the bioscience industry.

Technology Forum

The Technology Forum of Delaware (“TechForum”) is a regionally focused non-profit organization for technology, business, and entrepreneurial leaders. TechForum is dedicated to promoting technology business growth by helping businesses and individuals acquire the knowledge, relationships, and resources needed to complete and succeed in a global economy. TechForum holds monthly educational and networking events.

Greater Newark Network

The Greater Newark Network (GNN) is a group of business, academic and community leaders who seek to establish the Greater Newark Area as a cluster for innovation, creativity, and technology.  Members of the GNN include New Castle County Chamber of Commerce, City of Newark, Delaware Technology Park, University of Delaware and the private sector.

Location One Information System (LOIS) – A platform to display the industrial, commercial and retail space for sale, lease or rent in the Greater Newark area.

Office of Economic Innovation and Partnerships

OEIP is the University of Delaware’s patenting and licensing office. OEIP makes possible the commercialization of intellectual property through patenting and licensing agreements. It is responsible for catalyzing innovation and entrepreneurship at the university.

Science Center

Founded in 1963, the Science Center is the oldest and largest urban research park in the United States. It supports technology commercialization and technology-based economic development on campus and in the Greater Philadelphia region. Their 32 nonprofit shareholders include the University of Delaware and many of the distinguished colleges, universities, hospitals, and research institutions located throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware. The Science Center has two building partnerships within the Delaware Technology Park.

Select Greater Philadelphia

Select Greater Philadelphia (Select) is an economic development marketing organization dedicated to attracting companies to Greater Philadelphia. Select assists companies interested in the region by providing detailed information about the 11-county area.

Select offers a one-stop connection to numerous resources that help companies make informed decisions about locating to Greater Philadelphia. Through global marketing efforts, Select works to promote the region’s key assets to help build the area’s economy. The Greater Philadelphia region encompasses northern Delaware, southern New Jersey and southeastern Pennsylvania. Select is a private, non-profit organization and an affiliate of the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce.

The award-winning Ben Franklin Technology Partners is one of the nation’s longest-running technology-based economic development programs. For more than 25 years, BFTP has provided both early-stage and established companies with funding, business and technical expertise and access to a network of innovative, expert resources.

Sustainable Chemistry Alliance

The Delaware Sustainable Chemistry Alliance (DESCA) fosters sustainable chemistry innovation by working with thought leaders in industry, government and academia.  DESCA links resources in ways that optimizes the funding essential for R&D and translates the benefits of new discoveries into commercial opportunities.
