GLASGOW — Private equity firm Curewell Capital has acquired a majority stake in Wilmington PharmaTech, one of Delaware’s contract manufacturers for active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs).

Based in Los Angeles, Ca., Curewell Capital has been targeting the U.S. health care industry through investments in technology and pharmaceutical manufacturers.

Wilmington PharmaTech, located off of state Route 72, has manufactured APIs on a contract basis for pharmaceutical companies and drug makers in the United States since it opened in 2003.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
