Both are world-class life science research institutes that boast internationally recognized research leaders and focus on science that can be transferred to the marketplace.
- Built in 2000, DBI serves as the technology transfer arm of the University of Delaware (UD). DBI has led the formation of an interdisciplinary, inter-institutional, state-wide capability in life science research and education and has become the hub of infrastructure, people, programs and facilities. DBI has greatly increased commercialization opportunities and the caliber of research at UD.
- Founded in 2001, the Fraunhofer USA CMB is a contract research organization that focuses on using plant science for the formation of proteins. Fraunhofer USA CMB is a leader in bringing research to the marketplace.
